Every day traction & paw protection
Perfect for everyday wear, these Ruff Wear dog boots will help protect your pup's paws from rough surfaces, glass, thorns and other unseen hazards.
They work well for dogs with slender legs (e.g., Greyhounds) that don't have much of an 'ankle' as the stretchy cuff grips the leg to help the boots stay on better. They work well for elderly dogs or those recovering from injury giving them a better grip to stop them sliding on tiles and hardwood floors.
Features:
- Proven fit - the Skyliner dog boots are built like human shoes for consistent fit, sizing and shape
- Stretchy upper ‘gaiter' is like a sock - its easy to grab and adjust, and protects the leg keeping dirt out
- The Velcro closure strap ensures the boots stay the paw
- Non-marking sole makes them good for indoors as well
- A tiny XXXSmall size available for toy dogs.
- And....they're machine washable because dogs get dirty!
To help slide the boots on easier, use a Bark'n Boot Liner.
Available as a Set of 2 or Set of 4 boots

Size Matters!
For the Skyliner Boots to stay on the paw, it is important to choose the correct size for your dog. The boots should secure around the 'ankle' (i.e., above the dew claw but below the carpal pad on the front paws). A farily snug fit is best as if the boot is too large it can twist and come off the paw.
Measuring your dog's Paw width
- Stand your pup on a flat surface; put a piece of paper under one of her front paws
- Lift her other front paw so her weight is placed soley on the paw being measured
- Mark the paper at her paw's widest points (see the graphic below)
- Measure the distance between these marks and compare this to the chart below. Eg: if her paw measured between 2.25" and 2.5", she would probably fit best into a small boot.
Every paw is a bit different though so we recommend that when you get the boots you try them on your dog indoors. There is no problem to exchange to another size as long as we get the boots back unused (just like if you were trying on shoes for yourself).

“Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Our 11 year old dog Ben, who has hip and spine problems, was struggling with the very slippery tiled stairs and landings he had to negotiate to reach my 93 year old mother's flat. It seemed that their 5-times-per-week get togethers (a lifeline for my mother who doesn't come out very much) would be a thing of the past until a friend of a friend remembered that many years ago she had some boots for an elderly greyhound. I found you on the internet and within 3 days Ben's wonderful Skyliner boots were with us. He's taken to them straight away and is now bounding confidently up the stairs again.
Thank you so much for giving one two-legged and one four-legged friend their lives back.

“My 12 year old ex agility dog Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Jack ,was diagnosed with 3 prolapsed lumber discs three years ago(an abrupt end to his absolute favorite pasttime of agility).Over the last few weeks his ataxia and knuckling has become so bad he scapes his feet on the ground -I purchased a pair of boots from a differernt supplier which were useless as they came off all the time and Jack hated them.I then spent ages on the internet and found these boots which looked good.
For the first couple of times they were a little tricky to get on -trick is sit Jack down as this really helped. Now the elastic cuff has stretched slightly making them easier to put on.Jack actually likes them -happy to have them put on -they stay on and most importantly protect his feet from scapes (which could result in infection)
The only down side -they can get rather wet ,however they dry very quickly & ready dry for next venture outside.
Jack is an ex show dog too (crufts qualified) & is built as a pure bred Staffy should be.He has the extra small size which fit well -this may help when deciding what size to purchase. ”

“The sizing of the Skyliner boots just doesn't fit my guys (and I've tried all sizes!) The width I need is too short in length.
The new style Grip Trex Boots (out in Apr 2011) does fit my guys. The smaller sizes (i.e. XS and S) are the same width but longer in length in the new style grip trex.”

“These are the second boots we bought for our Springer Spaniel. He develops blisters in the heat. We tried the Grip Trex first but they didnt fit very well. The Skyliner ones fit really well, with the elasticated cuff being more comfortable for him. His paws are quite wide but they are small in length. The sky liner was a much better fit as the Grip Trex was too long and he kept tripping over them. (His paws measure a L but they were too long) I went for the Medium which are a much better fit. ”
